Quick, no-nonsense tools for position sizing, pip value, profit/loss, margin, compounding, risk of ruin, drawdown and leverage. Everything runs in your browser — nothing is sent anywhere.
For most USD-quoted majors the pip value is ~$10 per standard lot. Adjust it for JPY pairs or a non-USD account.
If the pair is quoted in your account currency, leave the rate at 1. Otherwise enter how much 1 unit of the quote currency is worth in your account currency.
Margin is shown in the quote currency. Convert to your account currency if it differs.
Return compounds each period; any deposit is added at the end of each period. A "period" can be a day, month or year — whatever your return figure is measured over.
A Monte-Carlo estimate over 3,000 simulated runs, risking a fixed % of your balance each trade — "ruin" being a fall of the chosen amount from the start. Even a positive edge carries real ruin risk if you risk too much per trade, which is the whole point of the tool.
A 50% drawdown needs a 100% gain just to get back to even — which is why keeping drawdown small matters more than chasing big returns.
Effective leverage = total position value ÷ your equity. The higher it runs, the less the market has to move against you to do real damage.
